摘要
Learner autonomy is that a learner develops the "ability to take charge of his or her own learning". However,learner autonomy doesn't mean the teacher will leave the task of language learning to the students. Actually,in learner autonomy,the teacher will take up more responsibilities and will perform more function than ever before. This paper deal with what is the proper role the English teacher should take up in middle school.
