摘要
Norm Chomsky's TG grammar is apparently the most influential linguistic theory in the 20th century. TG grammar is innova-tive and revolutionary in many aspects; it has overturned the dominance of behaviorism in linguistic study,and has lead people to the study of the unique features of human language. However,in the writer's point of view,its impact is still below the mark of a "revolution". This article tries to provide comprehensive and objective proofs to testify this argument.
