Transference of Cross-cultural Messages in Motion Picture Translation from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence

该文从跨文化信息转换的视角入手,阐述在电影翻译中如何处理由于东西方文化差异造成的语言差异,主张在进行电影翻译时应在保持语义对等的前提下调整源语的形式以解决由于文化差异造成的语义缺省和语义冲突,达到语言文化"功能对等"信息转换的目的。

This paper is intended to introduce approaches in dealing with language differences in foreign motion picture translation due to cultural difference.It claims that in order to achieve 'functional equivalence' of language and culture in the translation of foreign motion pictures,we should adjust the form of source language with the precondition of maintaining semantic equivalence to solve semantic defaults and contextual conflicts due to cultural difference.
