In art and literature,writers like to use symbolism to reveal the themes of works.In this thesis,the writer will talk about the usage of symbolism in art and literature in brief.Then the writer will also discuss the usage of symbolism in the story of the Snake written by John.Steinbeck(a famous American novelist) by analyzing how the symbols in the story contribute to the meaning and the themes of the story.
