摘要 Language is influenced by many factors, among which social class and network are the two main aspects. Many scholars have argued about which one plays the role more importantly, but no conclusion was reached. This paper, based on Rachel's language in Friends 3, is to analyze whether her language will change when she moves to another social class, but staying in the same network, therefore to study the major social factor influencing language.
