Approaches and Principles of Interactive College English Teaching Mode

目前,许多中国高校的英语课堂已采用互动式教学法,将传统的以教师为中心转化为以学生为中心。在大班教学的英语课堂上,互动教学模式要求教师能够根据课堂气氛、学生程度、教学目标等条件,灵活地采用多种不同的互动教学方法;同时,教师需要遵循多样性及趣味性两个原则来安排课堂活动。这样就可为学生营造良好的学习氛围,激发学习动力,帮助学生独立自主地进行英语学习,从而最终帮助学生提高听说读写等各方面水平。

Recently,interactive teaching mode has been adopted in many Chinese college English classes,transferring classes from the traditional teacher-centered to the student-centered.In large multilevel English classes,interactive teaching mode requires teachers to select various interactive teaching approaches flexibly,according to classroom learning environment,the levels of students,teaching objectives and so on.Besides,the two principles-variety and interest should be concerned in the procedure of arrangement of classroom activities.This way,interactive teaching mode provides college students a good learning environment,stimulates their motivation of English learning,helps them become more independent and initiative in English learning,so that it ultimately helps college students improve their English levels in listening,speaking,reading and writing.
