Practical use of English makes a new and more demanding requirement for the teaching of college English listening and speaking course.To meet the development of the time,this paper talks about how to change the traditional way of teaching.It focus on these aspects as teaching students according to their different abilities,combining listening with speaking in class,creating a student-centered learning atmosphere and doing activities with the purpose of practicing students' ability to use English in social life.This paper is good for reference in improving teaching of English listening and speaking course in college.
