林译《孙子兵法》中反义关系的翻译

A Brief Survey on Translating Antonymic Expressions in The Art of War by Lin Wusun

矛盾观是《孙子兵法》中朴素辩证法的一大重要内容,表现为大量的含有反义关系言语表达。文章用一般反义关系的确定方法,查找出全文所有反义关系表达法,并且选取林戊荪译《孙子兵法》的英文版本与原文本进行对比研究。结果发现,译者对绝大多数汉语反义表达法采取了直译法译成英语。

As the main content of naive dialectic in The Art of War,contradiction is presented by plentiful phrases containing antonyms.In this article,all the antonyms have been found out by general method of determining antonyms,and the English version translated by Lin Wusun is chosen to compare with the original.The result showed that in the translation of most Chinese antonymic expressions the translator adopted literal translation.
