从“文化翻译观”的角度探析英汉体育习语的翻译

On the English-Chinese Translation of Sports Idioms from the Perspective of "Cultural Translation"

在英汉两种语言中,源于体育运动的习语比比皆是,中英体育习语都深深打上了异域文化的烙印。该文在著名翻译家巴斯内特的"文化翻译观"的指导下,阐述了体育习语翻译对社会文化传递的重要意义,以及体育习语来源及其文化内涵对于其翻译的实践意义。

There are numerous idioms originated from the sports in both English and Chinese.The sports idioms are deeply marked by foreign cultural identities.Under the guideline of the Susan Bassnett's 'Cultural Translation',this paper discusses the cultural connotation enriched in the sports idioms,and then elaborates the significance of sports culture on social and cultural development.Based on the source and cultural connotation of sports idioms,the paper does a tentative research on its value in the practice of the translation of sports idioms.
