浅谈高职高专英语视听说课程替代英语基础课程的可能性

On Possibilities of Replacing Basic English Course with English audio-visual Course

随着中国经济的发展,和外国的合作越来越多,这就加大了对英语人才的需求。但是基础英语教学过于注重知识(尤其是语法知识)的传授,轻视语言能力的培养。导致了经过十多年的学习后,中国学生还是听不懂、说不出英语,不能适应我国经济建设和社会发展的需要。因此,英语必须调整课程与教学计划,以培养学生的交际能力为目的。这不仅得到了理论支持,甚至各方面的条件的成熟都将支持这一变革。

With the development of China's economy, more and more cooperation with foreign countries will be done. It needs more talents with English competency. But English teaching overemphasized the knowledge instruction (especially grammar ) while ignored the cultivation of students’linguistic competence. After more than ten years of English study, many students are still deaf and dumb to English,and can't meet the needs of China's economic construction and social development. Thus, it demands the adjustment of the teaching plan and the cultivation of students' communicative capabilities. The change is supported by not only theory, but also various mature conditions.
