摘要
越来越多的学者、教育人士关注大学生批判思维能力的培养。中国学生在外语学习时通常采用篇章背诵和词汇记忆等方法,而对文本本身没有质疑和挑战,这便给大学外语教师提出了一个课题。该文将借鉴Freebody和Luke提出的四个层次的阅读能力,探讨如何通过大学英语精读教学提高学生批判阅读和批判思维能力。
Critical thinking receives increasing concern among scholars and educators.Chinese learners have been featured by rote learning,which poses an urgent task for English language teaching practitioners.English teaching should kindle learners'passion for reading and thinking,instead of educating them for conformity and obedience to ideas presented in texts.In English reading course,how learners can be encouraged to be critical thinkers is a worthwhile project.This paper will refer to Freebody and Luketake' four levels of reading competence and illustrate how to cultivate critical reading and thinking through reading course.
