College English Intensive Reading is essencial,however it is frequently bothered by the oppressive class-room atmosphere.This paper attempts to analyse the causes and explore the strategies to enliven the classroom atmosphere from aspects of arousing the interest of the students,introducing culture background information,and employing multimedia teaching mechanism,hoping to be helpful to college intensive reading.
