语用对等视角下话语标记语OK的翻译研究

A Translation Study on the Discourse Marker OK from the Perspective of Pragmatic Equivalence

该文以言语交际中作为话语标记语的OK为研究对象,借助语用对等这一翻译原则,探讨了不同语境条件下OK的五个语用标记功能:过渡标记语、注意力吸引语、面子威胁缓和语、应答标记语、及信息延缓标记语。在美剧《生活大爆炸》字幕及其译文的实例分析中,译者对于话语标记语OK的翻译要善于识别并领会其语用潜势,进而实现语用对等在翻译实践中的应用。

Targeting the discourse marker OK in the verbal communication,the research attempts to probe into the five pragmatic functions of OK in different context with the help of Pragmatic Equivalence as the principle of translation,that is,transition marker;attention getter;face-threatening mitigator;feedback marker;and information delay marker.By analyzing the examples from the subtitle and its translation in the American Soap Opera The Big Bang Theory,it is easy to find that translators had better notice the pragmatic functions of the discourse marker OK while translating,thus the principle of Pragmatic Equivalence can be well applied in the practice of translation.
