摘要
The paper analyzes two stories, Joyce's A Little Cloud and Woolf's The Mark on the Wall, to make a comparison between "epiphany" and "moment of importance", two major techniques in the stream of consciousness. Both are produced by the impact from the external reality and focus on the emotional and psychological processes, yet there exist three major differences between them.
