二十世纪三四十年代,史蒂文斯的诗作一反流行的悲凉情调,表现出一种少有的乐观主义,该文即试分析其根源:他受到中国禅宗思想的影响,以一种空无的心性乐观地看待整个世界,从而能够接受现实中的"恶",并在恶之美学审美观下进行诗歌创作,通过想象赋予混乱的世界以秩序。
During 1930s and 1940s,against the popular sad mood,Wallace Stevens showed optimistic spirit in his poems in the depressed time.This paper attempts to analyze the original reasons for his optimism:he was influenced by Chinese Zen,regarding the world as emptiness,so,he can accept the evils in the reality,and compose his poems with his special aesthetic of evils,giving the messy world its order through imagination.
