On Empty Categories PRO and Pro in Chinese

With the development of Generative Grammar,many scholars have done research on Chinese null subjects.However,there still remain controversies over the distinction between Chinese finiteness and non-finiteness and the existence of PRO and pro.Based on Chomsky's GB theory and some research achievements made by Chinese scholars,this paper attempts to propose some standards for the classification of Chinese finiteness and non-finiteness and to make a distinction between PRO and pro in Chinese.
