论95版电影《红字》对小说中女性主义的解读

女性主义的话题从来都不局限于女性作家笔下,男性作家也从自身的角度,创作出无数优秀的女性主义题材的文学作品。1850年霍桑在小说《红字》中塑造的女主人公海丝特这一女性主义先驱的角色,引发了后代多个电影创作者在荧幕上再现小说的女性主义题材的创作热情。文章选择了95版电影为研究对象,从电影编剧的角度,通过电影对小说情节的演绎来分析电影表现这一女性主义先驱的视角和电影所体现的时代精神。

The topic of feminism has never been limited to female writers.On the contrary,the male writers,from their point of view,have also contributed a lot of brilliant works on this topic.The novel The Scarlet Letter Hawthorne created in 1850 has triggered the motivation of many movie makers to reproduce in the screen the heroin Hester Prynne,who can be counted as a pioneer for feminist movement.This paper will analyze how the movie,shot in 1995,pictured the feminist consciousness in the heroin Hester through the plot of the story and the development within the time.
