摘要
As one of Langston Hughes' best stories,the short story Early Autumn gives a vivid account of the unexpected meeting between two lovers years after they part and reveals the theme of the character's emotional undercurrents beneath the calm surface.This paper intends to explore Hughes' unique writing skills in this short story from the respects of brief narration,dialogue technique and setting description.
