摘要 本文深入探讨了英国当代著名戏剧家品特的戏剧创作的本质 ,包括他的创作理念、他的独特的“威胁喜剧”、他运用戏剧语言的创新之处、他与法国荒诞派戏剧家的区别等。作者指出 ,荒诞和晦涩只是品特戏剧的表面特征 ,如果究其实质 ,应该说它深刻地反映了当代英国社会的状况 。 This essay aims to explore the nature of the dramatic works of Harold Pinter. The emphasis is mainly on his concept of drama writing, his unique “comedy of menace”, his unconventional employment of the dramatic language, and the distinction between him and the French absurdists. The author points out that absurdity and obscurities are the surface characteristics of Pinter's drama, its nature is to reflect the British society at that time, to make readers think and to strike a responsive chord in the hearts of readers.
