贵州贵安新区牛坡洞遗址

The Niupodong Site in Gui'an New Area, Guizhou

2012~2016年,对牛坡洞遗址进行了发掘。该遗址文化内涵丰富,发现有墓葬、活动面、用火遗存等遗迹,出土有大量的石器、骨器和陶器等遗物。该遗址的发掘,初步建立了黔中地区从旧石器时代晚期到春秋战国时期考古学文化的年代序列。

In 2012 to 2016, the Institute of Archaeology, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Guizhou Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology jointly conducted excavation to the Niupodong Site and got important results. This site had rich cultural connotations, yielding burials, living floor, traces of use of fire and other artificial remains and large amounts of stone implements, bone objects, pottery wares and other artifacts. The excavation of the Niupodong Site preliminarily established the chronological sequence of the archaeological cultures from the Upper Paleolithic Age to the Spring-and-Autumn and Warring-States Periods in the central Guizhou area; the typical microlithic products and pottery wares, and animal remains recovered in the excavation provided important data for the comprehensive understanding of the cultural and natural features and the cultural communications of this area and surrounding areas.
