对车辆VIN码的识别及检验

近几年，随着经济社会的高速发展，机动车保有量大幅增长，同时机动车盗抢案件频发。被盗抢机动车辆异地使用的特点突出。很多盗抢车辆为便于销赃或逃避侦查，其车架号码往往被篡改。本文阐述了快速鉴别车辆车架号码的真伪、准确显现被篡改的车架号并恢复显示其原始号码的简易方法，为公安机关交通管理部门侦破盗抢车辆案件提供借鉴。

In recent years, with the rapid economic and social development, and the rapid increase in the number of the motor vehicle ownership, the robbery-and-theft cases involving motor vehicles occur frequently. One of prominent phenomena is that those robbery-and-theft motor vehicles are usually used in other places. In order to facilitate the disposal of robbed or stolen vehicles and to avoid investigation, the vehicle identification numbers （VIN） of many robbery-and- theft motor vehicles are often tampered with. A simple way which can rapidly identify the authenticity of the VIN of the suspected motor vehicle and accurately reveal the original VIN of the vehicle is described in this paper, which can provide some assistance to the traffic police department in solving relevant cases.
