"女性自我的迷失与追寻"是加拿大女作家门罗执着探求的领域。她的短篇小说集《逃离》集中对平凡生活中女性的逃离做了细致入微的探究和刻画。无论是逃离父母亲情还是两性关系,都付出了惨痛代价。这些逃离都是不彻底的,都是对自我的逃离,她们的逃离受个性驱使,实际是想挣脱内心的羁绊和寻找自我,也是挣扎中的自我成长。

Women＇s self-loss and pursuit belonged to Canadian authoress Munro＇s persistent pursuit. One of her short stories,Runaway,focused on the ordinary life of women＇s escape to make a nuanced exploration and characterization. Either escaping from parental affection or sexual relations had come at a huge cost. Both were not complete but self-escaping and driven by their personalities,and actually,they were only self-seeking in the inner fetters and also the struggling self-growth.
