小河沿文化是我国北方古代文化的代表之一,因受多重文化的影响,被史学界称为"南北荟萃的小河沿文化型"。近些年,该文化主要遗址出土了大量动物形陶器。例如,双颈连通壶、鸭形壶、鸟形壶等。这些动物形陶器的出现及使用,并不单纯是现实动物形象的写照,或是人们图腾崇拜或自然崇拜思想对象的产物,或是原始艺术的反映及文化的传承与交流。目前还未有关于小河沿文化动物形陶器进行综合分析的研究成果。本文对小河沿文化出土动物形陶器进行研究,分析出现动物形陶器的原因以及总结动物形陶器的特别功能,以便更好了解小河沿文化先民社会生活状况和精神信仰等。
