曲卓是结古寺第一世嘉南活佛编创的宗教祭祀性民间歌舞 ,迄今已有近四百年的历史。据藏文史载 ,曲卓音乐共有 1 80首 ,每一首都是不同的曲子 ,由于失传今天仅能收到 31首。这些音乐虽在流传中略有变异 ,但基本保存了原貌。其旋律风格独特 ,不同于当地及周边流传的藏族音乐 。

Qu Zuo was a kind of religion sacrifice folk music composed and edited by Jia'nan Living Lama No.1 in Jeigu Lamasery. It had nearly four hundreds years history up to now. According to the Tibet literature recordation, there were 180 pieces all together in the Qu Zuo, each one had different tune, but only 31 come down to the day. These music tunes kept the original basically, only a little differentiation in the go round. With the individual style, their melodies were quite different from the other Tibet music popular in the same area or the around ones. There was some kind of mysterious religion philosophy and Buddhism thoughts in the Qu Zuo.
