In the identification of jewelry and jade,the computer-aided identification and information system of jewels is very important. The information system is a system software which integrates the computer-aided identification and related information. It has functions in auxiliary identification,data classification and storage and direct query. This paper analyzes the specific application of pattern recognition in the identification of jewels.
