自有《红楼梦》电影以来,红楼影视改编就已进入研究者的视野。在20世纪20年代,复旦版与孔雀版电影《红楼梦》为早期影视改编理论的探讨提供了研究范本。在大众传播时代,《红楼梦》影视作品更是成为红学研究的一个新兴领域。这种研究主要集中在文学与影视的比较研究、不同红楼影视剧的比较研究,以及红楼影视艺术如画面、服饰、音乐等研究。《红楼梦》的影视改编实践还扩大了红学研究成果的传播,这种传播主要通过影视剧本身、电影特刊、文化讲座等方式展开。

Since the presentation of the film 'A Dream of Red Mansions', its adaptation comes to appear inthe vision of researchers. In the 1920 s,A Dream of Red Mansionsin Fudan version and the peacock versionprovided them a sample for studying the early film adaptation theory. In the era of mass communication, itsvideo production becomes a new booming field of redology. This research mainly focuses on the comparativestudies of literature, film and television, the comparative ones between its films and TV series, and the re-search of film and TV arts, including pictures, costumes and music. Its film adaptation also expanded the dis-semination of Redology research results, mainly spread by TV series, film specials, cultural lecture, etc.
