电影语篇中人物多重身份态度意义的多模态建构

The Multi-modal Construction on Attitudinal Meaning of Multi-Identity in Film Discourse

近年来,多模态语篇的研究一直是语篇分析的热点,但是从认知评价理论的角度研究多模态语篇还比较少。本文在基于认知评价理论态度意义多模态建构框架的基础上,提出了电影语篇人物身份态度意义的多模态分析新框架,并用新的分析框架对主体人物乔·金曼在电影《比赛计划》中所体现的人物多重身份进行了态度意义的多模态分析。研究发现,在电影多模态语篇中,主体人物的语言和表情、手势、姿势和动作等身体语言以及场景设置等非身体语言都是建构人物身份态度意义的重要资源,人物多重身份建构的态度意义不仅体现在话语中,而且还体现在多种模态符号资源之间的协调和互动中,同时态度意义对电影语篇人物多重身份的建构也起着重要作用。

In recent years, muhimodal discourse analysis has been a hot topic in discourse analysis. However, there are few studies on multimodal discourse from the perspective of cognitive appraisal theory. Based on the multi-modal construction on attitudinal meaning of cognitive appraisal theory, this paper improves this framework and applies the new framework to analyze the attitudinal meaning of Joe Kingman＇ s multiple identities in＂ The Game Plan＂. This research finds that language, expressions, gestures, postures and actions as well as the scene setting are the important resources for constructing attitudinal meaning of multiple identities in film discourse. It also shows that the attitudinal meaning of multiple identities construction are not only represent in language, but in coordination and interaction of multi-modal semiotic resources. Meanwhile, attitudinal meaning plays a major role in constructing multiple identities in film discourse.
