Objective To summarize the clinical efficacy of transurethral rescetion of bladder tumor (TURBT) combined with perioperative bladder perfusion in the treatment of elderly bladder cancer. Methods Sixty cases of elderly patients with bladder cancer who were treated in our hospital from 2010 to 2015 were selected, which were randomly divided into experimental group and control group according to the treatment methods. Thirty cases in the experimental group underwent TURBT combined with perioperative bladder perfusion therapy, while 30 cases in the control group underwent TURBT combined with conventional postoperative perfusion. The clinical efficacy between the two groups were compared. Results The symptom improvement rate was 90.00% in the experimental group which was higher than 50.00% in the control group (P〈0.05). The total recurrence rate was 6.67% in the experimental group and 30.00% in the control group; the total incidence of drug side effects was 6.67% in the experimental group and 10.00% in the control group. The recurrence rate in the experimental group was better than the control group (P〈0.05), but the difference in the drug side effect between the two groups was not significantly (P〈0.05). Conclusion TURBT combined with perioperative bladder perfusion in treatment of elderly bladder cancer can significantly improve clinical symptoms, which has a positive effect on the improvement of patients' quality of life.
