The paper analyzes the role of the engineering budget in the cost control,explores the problems in the engineering budget in the cost control,and points out the methods by setting up the steady and perfect cost control system,cost consumption deviation,and promotion of the complete settlement management,so as to optimize the engineering budget in the cost control and guarantee the effective control over the engineering construction cost.
