Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of electro-acupuncture (EA) combined with acoustic resonance therapy in treatment of sensorineural tinnitus (ST). Methods 100 patients with ST were randomly divided into 2 groups, 50 cases in treatment group (72 ears) and 50 cases in control group (66 ears). Treatment group was treated with EA combined with acoustic resonance therapy, control group was treated with drug treatment. The efficacies of both groups were evaluated by SPSS17.0 statistical software after 3 courses of treatment. Results In treatment group, 30 ears were cured, 21 ears were significantly effective, 19 ears were effective, the total effective rate was 97.2%; in control group, 16 ears were cured, 20 ears were significantly effective, 17 ears were effective, the total effective rate was 80.3%. The total effective rate of treatment group was obviously better than that of control group, the difference was statistically significant (P〈0.05). Conclusion The improvement of tinnitus in treatment group was better than that in control group in the aspects of the occurrence environment, the influence on sleeping, the time of duration, the influence on life and work, the emotional influence, and the subjective symptoms of the patients(P〈0.05). EA combined with audio frequency resonance therapy is effective in treatment of nerve tinnitus without adverse reactions, the curative effect is obviously superior to that of drug treatment, which is worthy of clinical application.
