摘要
在过去的半个世纪,诺斯罗普·弗莱的加拿大文学评论与其百科全书式的文学理论思想互为经纬,用高屋建瓴的理论视野阐释了加拿大现代文学想象力的定位,将加拿大文学“现代性”与“本土性”之间的张力视为加拿大现代文学传统的重要内涵,为加拿大文学的现代主义运动向前推进做出了重要贡献。本文以弗莱笔下加拿大文学的“本土性”特征与“现代性”的表现形式为出发点,揭示弗莱加拿大文学评论背后的“神话”视域,从而回应了之后国内外学者对弗莱加拿大文学评论所产生的误读和质疑。
In the last half century, Northrop Frye's Canadian literary criticism cross-references his encyclopedic literary theory thoughts, orients Canadian modern imagination with his brilliant views of the whole western theory, and identifies the extension between the "native" and the "world" as the important content of Canadian modern tradition. It is a great achievement for Canadian modern literature movement. Thus this essay will start from the opinions of the "native" and the "world" in Frye's Canadian literary criticism, expound the sense of " myth" behind it and respond to some misunderstandings and questions from later critics and theorists home and abroad.
