摘要
本文梳理了中国古代科技典籍英译本现状,借鉴了美国政治学家哈罗德·拉斯韦尔的"5W"模式,对其进行优化并指出译者未能兼顾英译主体、英译内容、英译渠道、英译受众和英译效果等传播五要素而导致的信息噪音,是古代科技典籍英译本现状的背后成因,为古代科技典籍英译本更好地"走出去"提供决策参考。
This paper reviews the current situation of translating Chinese Sci-tech Classics into English, adopting Harold Lasswell＇ s model of communication. It argues that the status quo is a result of the translator＇ s failure to clear the noises in the process of interlingual communication, which is caused by their inability to harmonize the key communication factors such as communicators, message, medium, audience and effect. The article provides some suggestions for the ＂going out＂ of the Chinese Sci-tech Classics.
