First of all, a variety of plant species should be applied to increase the richness of plant landscape and to provide a livable environment with singing birds and fragrant flowers all around. In the second place, some aromatic, enjoyable and entertaining plant species should be introduced to enhance the attraction of plant landscape in residential areas. Thirdly, instead of the traditional modular planting strategy, the application of low maintenance and naturallymixed plant community should be promoted to increase the hierarchical level of plant landscape. Finally, encouraing the local residents to join in the whole process of plant landscape construction. In this way it will make the residential green space as a popular garden and a main place among the residents to participate in horticultural and natural experience.
