Task and Reform Orientation of Elementary Education in China

中国教育处在从数量发展到质量提高的关键时期。提高教育质量,要明确基础教育的任务。基础教育的任务是为学生的发展打好以下三方面的基础,一是学生身心健康成长的基础,二是终身学习的基础,三是走向社会的基础。教育改革要实现从"教"到"学"的转变,重点在课堂教学改革。在互联网时代,我们要利用互联网来改善教育的形态、教育的环境、教育的内容、教育的方法以及师生的关系等。教育必须跟上时代的要求,并且要有前瞻性,培养未来社会的公民。

Education in China is in a critical period of development both in quantity and quality. To enhance quality,the task of elementary education is to lay the foundation for the development of students in the following three aspects： first,the foundation for the growth of students＇ physical and mental health; second,the foundation for lifelong learning,and the last,the foundation for entering the society. In order to realize the transformation from ＂teaching＂to ＂learning＂,the reform of education should focus on the reform of classroom teaching. In the era of Internet,we should utilize the Internet to improve the form of education,the environment,the content,and the methods of education as well as the relationship between teachers and students,etc.
