A Discussion on the Present Characteristics of China's Higher Education Development

在认识高等教育发展阶段性和特殊性的基础上探讨我国高等教育现阶段发展特征,有助于为高等教育转型发展寻找关键"钥匙"和有效工具。我国高等教育现阶段发展特征可以概括为:高等教育新旧稳态转换"混沌期"的高等教育理念模糊状态有待厘清;高等教育规模急速扩张导致的多方面失衡状态有待修复;高等教育体制改革已经重启,传统经验发展和经验管理模式亟须走向现代化、科学化;高校教学与人才培养模式改革不断深入,学校教学工作的核心地位受到重视,但高校教学与科研的关系有待进一步理顺。

Based on analysis of the phase and particular issues in Chinese higher educa- tion development from a macro perspective, this articlesummarizesthe characteristics of the development of higher education in China at present. Firstly, the ideology of higher educa- tion in the ＂chaotic period＂ needs to be clarified. Secondly, the imbalances caused by higher education expansion needs to be repaired. Thirdly, since the reformation of higher education- al system has been restarted, the traditional experience of development and management need to be modernized and scientized. Fourthly, the innovation of teaching style and personnel training in universities constantly goes deeper and the core teaching position gains attention; however, the relationship of teaching and research needs to be reconstructed.
