The value of the book lies in the fact that it is of paradigmatic significance in the individualized description of the cross-media narration in Hong Kong literature and in the research into the cross-media narration in the overseas group and Taiwan Residents group; that the cross-media narrative research into Hong Kong literature is of theoretically guiding value in the construction of the poetics in cross-media narration; that it reminds literary studies of the fact that it ought to give more attention to cross-media narration in a more tolerant mentality and broader mindset; that the revelation that cross-media narrative creativity adds eolour to the art form of literary narration as an increasingly enriched and perfect form sometimes is of more historical and artistic-ethical value than the contents, and that thoughts of the poetics, thus induced, may lead to new trends in the construction of narrative poetics.
