文学作品中情感翻译效度研究

A Study on Translation Effectivenss of Affective Expressions in Literature

文学作品除了蕴含大量文化信息,还具有浓厚的抒情特征。文学界、翻译界对于文学作品及其翻译研究通常围绕作品的叙事性、思想性展开,抒情性研究往往滞后。随着翻译研究的多元化发展,文本情感分析引起越来越多学者们的兴趣。文章以霍达的代表作英译为例,基于翻译文体学,以句子为单位,研究该部小说原文本中习俗文化和玉器文化内容抒情性表达的英译,分析作品中相关语句所表达情感的翻译效度,探究译者对源语文本情感色彩的把握情况。研究发现译作中重新构建的语句不多,情感翻译效度高,与原文情感倾向基本契合,但也存在部分偏差。

Literary works contain distinctive affective features as well as rich cultural information.Scholars doing literary studies and translation studies tend to pay more attention to the narratological features and profound ideas in the works and their translation than the affective features and their representation in the translation.With translation studies becoming more diversified,agrowing number of scholars begin to pay attention to text affective analysis.This paper intends to investigate the affect translation effectiveness of Huo Da＇s representative work of the ethnic group＇s customs and jade culture in the novel within the framework of translational stylistics,examining sentences as units,and to explore how well the translators sense the affective expressions in the source language.The result indicates that with few sentences reconstructed,the English translation enjoys a high correspondance to the source text＇s affective connotation,but different degrees of deviation exist in the translation of cultural contents.
