In the "Old Testament", the writing of festivals is an important content that should not be ignored. Basing on a large number of descriptions of festivals, we can conclude that Israel festivals are no longer the natural events, but have become the cultural events which is a type of significant construction form of cultural memory. Thus the festivals embody many characteristics and meanings of cultural memory: as to the respect of its content, they are religious, historical and ethical ; as to the respect of its form, they have the characteristics of communality, sptiality and actualization. Such festivals that are described with these characteristics play a vital role in cohering national consciousness ,establishing and maintaining identity, which embodies the unique characteristics of Jewish culture.
