基于平行语料库的《天下》古诗英译叙事研究

A Narrative Study on the Ancient Poetry Translation in "T'ien Hsia" Based on Parallel Corpus

本文通过建立《天下》古诗英译汉英平行语料库,用定量研究的方法,从时空建构、文本素材的选择性采用、标示式建构和人物事件的再定位等方面探讨了其翻译叙事建构的特点,指出译者既有对目的语境和目的语读者接受度的考虑,也有对源语文化的坚守,试图描绘一个"通而不同"的中国形象。

This paper builds a parallel corpus of ancient poetry translation in ＂ T＇ien Hsia＂,with the method of quantitative research to discuss its narrative features from the perspective of temporal and spatial framing,selective appropriation of textual material,framing by labeling and re-positioning of participants. It points out that the translators considered both the target context and the acceptability of the target readers as well as the resource culture,trying to describe an ＂acceptable but different＂ Chinese image.
