China has five-thousand-year history of civilization, and Chinese excellent traditional culture symbols are accumulated and precipitated in the long history. The rich connotation and various forms of the symbols embody the extensive profound Chinese culture. The application of traditional culture symbols in the modem VI design provides more design of material as well as displays more cultural elements. Based on the introduction of Chinese traditional culture symbols, this paper expounds the main ways of applying the traditional cultural symbol in the modem VI design, and analyzes the living examples of the traditional cultural symbol used in modem VI design.
