慧思禅师是南岳佛教历史记忆中的神话。文章以佛道之争为切入点,从"神仙方术"的视角揭示福严寺、"一生岩"、"二生塔"等的创建,并在《佛祖统纪》、《神僧传》等文献基础上考证慧思立誓发愿,弘扬佛法,禅定苦修,念佛三昧,修行神通以求自度、度他的修行历程,多角度地反映了慧思在天台宗传承谱系及南岳史上的文化意义。

Huisi,the Buddhist monk,is a myth in the history of the Buddhism of Nanyue. Based on the dispute of Buddhism and Taoism, the thesis discloses the historical origins of Fuyan temple, rock ＂life＂, ＂two towers＂ from a perspective of the magic of fairy and divination and researches Huisi＇s progress of vowing, carrying forward the dharma, meditation, chanting samadhi, avatar based on the literature researches of ＂The Buddha Series＂ ,＂ God Monk Biography＂ to reflect by multiple perspectives the cultural significanees Huisi had exerted in the transmission spectrum of Tiantai sect and the history of Nanyue.
