The Historical Origin of Teachers' Honor System

摘要 教师荣誉集中体现了教师职业的社会价值与教师个体的社会贡献,是国家尊师重教的重要体现,有利于社会主义核心价值观的培育与弘扬。中国自古就有尊师传统,对历代名师的封赠、赐号、祭祀从未间断,孔庙堪称古代教师的荣誉殿堂,古代教师荣誉意味着传统师道的传承。本文着重探讨古代教师荣誉的种类、标准与主要特征、历史意义及经验教训等问题,为当今国家教师荣誉制度的构建提供具有传统特色的丰富资源与历史借鉴。 Teachers' honor embodies the social value of the teacher and the social contribution of teacher. It is the impor- tant reflection of national teachers respecting and education valuing, as well as the promotion of Socialist Core Values ' culti- vating and developing. Teachers respecting has been a tradition in China. People have never stop to confer, grant and pray to the famous teachers. Confucian temple can he considered as a great honor hall for the ancient teachers, and the ancient teachers' honor means the inheritance of Teacher Abides. This paper focuses on the kinds, standards, features, historical significance and lessons of the ancient teachers' honor of China, and to provide the resources and historical reference for the construction of the national teacher' s honor system.
