Modem pharmacology study shows that it has a wide range of pharmacological effects.In recent years, the pharmacological action of active ingredients of fructus schisandrae constantly being mining.This paper summarizes the pharmacological effects of fructus schisandrae, in- cluding： anti-tumor, protect liver, hypoglycemic, anti-aging, antibacterial, strengthen the skeletal muscle, central adjustment, antifatigue and hypoxia tolerance, improve urogenital and cardiovascular system, immune regulation and so on. These aspects will proceed latest study. It will provide reference for further application of saikosaponins in clinical practice.
