This article describes a unit used for measuring the dose equivalent of neutron and gamma ray of the mixed radiation field at the same time, which is composed of single - sphere multi - detector neutron spectrome- ter and GM counting tube. The detector of single sphere with multi - counter is composed of three He - 3 proportional counters which is orthogonal. It has been tested in the standard neutron radiation field of Cf - 252 and Am - Be, the relative error of the dose equivalent is less than 30%. The measurement of energy response has been tested in the incident photon beam which＇ s energy is between 1 MeV and 14 MeV, the relative error is less than 30%.
