摘要
普特南的"语言劳动分工论"指出:在语言共同体中,语言存在劳动分工。该理论对翻译研究中的范式问题具有启示作用。从该理论视角来看,翻译研究共同体中的翻译研究新旧范式之间的关系不是"否定"、"取代"或"回归",而是存在劳动分工,互为补充,共存共荣。这是因为每种范式都只研究翻译活动的某一方面,都有其针对性和盲点,要全方位探索出翻译活动的属性则需要多种范式的运用。
Putnam's theory of " Division of Linguistic Labor" indicates that in the language community, there exists division of labor among languages. It throws light on the study of "paradigms" in Translation Studies. In light of this, the relationship between the old and new paradigms in Translation Studies is not "replacement", "negation" or "return", but they have division of labor, complement each other and can flourish together. That is because each paradigm just concentrates on the one aspect of translation and it has its own blindness, therefore to explore thoroughly the nature of translation needs various paradigms.
