The broadband access authentication system（ BRAS） is an important component of the construction and operation management of IP Broadband metropolitan area network. This paper introduces the deployment status of Yancheng CATV BRAS,the importance and the plans of the BRAS reform. Through this reform,it will be very beneficial to the optimization and future business evolution of Yancheng CATV＇s IP broadband metropolitan area network.
