With the rapid development of China nuclear power industry ,more and more nuclear power units have been put into operation,bringing considerable maintenance and modification business.It is an inevitable choice for nuclear power industry at a certain stage in development to ensure the safety and prolong the ser- vice life of nuclear power stations via maintenance and modification.During the 13th Five-Year plan period, the maintenance and modification service market for nuclear power industry will have blowout growth ,reaching tens of billions of yuan in scale.Facing the huge market,Chinese enterprises put forward the idea of whole life cycle service,and some world-famous nuclear power enterprises targeted and successfully entered Chinese market.The maintenance and modification service mainly involves spare parts supply,project management con- sulting ,formulation and implementation of overall modification plan and construction commissioning, and the fo- cus includes specialized maintenance ,modification of electrical and instrument control system,modification of steam turbine and other modifications.The maintenance and modification of nuclear power stations is charac- terized by complexity,continuous change and more in-depth industry segmentation and specialization,and shows two developing trends of mass and standardization.Shanghai is one of the areas in China with the solidest foundation for nuclear power industry,so nuclear-related enterprises in Shanghai have natural advan- tages and impetus to develop the maintenance and modification services of nuclear power stations.In the fu- ture ,these enterprises should pay more attention to integrated services ,take advantage of their location to as- sist the owners to achieve combined reserve of spare parts ,construct technology and product support centers, use professional advantages to provide customized services,and further intensify the localization research ef- forts.
