Analysis on Growth Rate in Different Seasons for 996 Preschool Children

目的了解和分析学龄前儿童不同季节生长速率现状,为建立生长速率相关参考值提供依据,从而早期识别和纠正生长偏离。方法整群抽取武汉市某幼儿园的996名3~6岁儿童,对其一年四季的生长速率进行分析。结果学龄前儿童春、秋季身高增长较快,秋、冬季体重增长较快,儿童在不同季节身高、体重增长值间差异有统计学意义(P<0.01)。春季男童比女童身高、体重增长更快(P=0.03)。学龄前儿童身高、体重增长速率随着年龄的增长逐渐降低,年龄越大,增长速率下降越快。儿童身高年增长7.9cm,体重年增长2.89kg。结论目前武汉市学龄前儿童不同季节生长速率存在差异,应引起社会、家庭和儿保工作者的重视,使他们在四季中生长发育潜力得到充分发挥。

Objectvies To understand and analyze current growth rate condition in different seasons for preschool children,so as to provide evidence for establishing relevant reference for growth rate and in order to recognize and correct growth derviation at early stage.Methods 996 children aged 3 to 6 were selected from a kindergarten in Wuhan by using cluster sampling.Analysis on their growth rate all year round was carried out.Results Preschool children grew relatviely faster in height in spring and autumn,and weight in autumn and winter.There were significant differences between growth of height and weight of preschool children in different seasons（P〈0.01）.In spring,girls grew faster than boys in height and weight（P=0.03）.Growth rate of height and weight of preschool children would gradually decrease with age.The older the children were,the faster the growth rate decreased.Annual growth of children＆#39;s height was 7.9 cm and weight was 2.89 kg.Conclusions There are differences in growth rate of Wuhan preschool children in different seasons.The society,families and child protection workers shall attach great importance to such differences,so as to bring children＆#39;s potential of growth and development in different seasons into full play.
