武当山旅游翻译问题及对策研究

On Translation of Mountain Wudang Tourism Literature:Problems and Solutions

作为道教圣地的武当山是国内外游客心驰神往的名胜风景区,在推动地方经济发展和生态旅游产业结构优化中发挥着拉动和示范作用。然而,武当山旅游翻译的质量却有待提高,存在诸如拼写错误、语法错误、误译、译名不统一、文化信息处理不当以及源语信息缺省等问题。建议旅游管理部门加强监管,以保证译文的统一、准确和规范;同时,也要求翻译工作者译有所为,在提高自身素质的同时,探索音、形、意、韵结合的新译法,在平衡的翻译生态中转换源语信息、传播中国文化。

As a holy land of Taoism,Mountain Wudang is a great place of interest that appeals to travelers at home and abroad.It not only boost the development of local economy but also serves as a representative that succeeds in optimizing the structure of ecotourism economy.However,the translation in Mountain Wudang Scenic Spot is far from perfect,which exemplified by problems as misspellings,grammatical mistakes,inconsistent equivalents,cultural misinformation and deprivation of the source discourse.It is suggested that administrative authorities in charge of tourism industry be strict about supervision so as to make translations consistent,accurate and standard.In the meantime,translators are expected to improve themselves and explore new methods of translation with a full consideration of the sound,spelling,meaning and connotation of the source language,for only in well-balanced translating ecology can source information and Chinese be transmitted.
