Irritable bowel syndrome（ IBS） is a common disease in digestive system,but its mechanism is not completely understood. The role of intestinal microflora imbalance in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome has become a hot topic of research. This article summarizes the role of intestinal flora imbalance in the pathogenesis of irritable bowel syndrome（ IBS） and the effect of Chinese medicine on related regulation of imbalance of bacterial flora in irritable bowel syndrome（ IBS）.
